Field based survey

We are currently engaged in a large-scale survey of sites where bracken has been controlled, usually by aerially application of the herbicide asulam. Here we use a chronosequence or space-for time-substitution approach

Distribution of sampling sites

Sampling Sites in U.K Map

The original survey (1994/1995) had 117 different sites. We are currently resurveying these sites, along with some new sites, plus sites that we are monitoring from before the spray is applied.
